GCM update 9/25/09

James accepted a position at ITT Technical College as a  Regional Sales, Call Center/Helpdesk Software Solutions representative.  His salary is $50K+, (approx: 10% of $500K+ and growing sales), sets his own hours, works from home and is afforded  three weeks vacatio.  It is his  first solid employment opportunity with future growth potential since telecom/helpdesk/call center meltdown. Company is one of the Top 5 worldwide in Call Center/Helpdesk solutions software industry.

GCM helps attorney

I came to GCM because the strategic direction of the firm where I had been working had shifted and was no longer conducive to my special area of expertise.  As a result, the expected professional advancement originally promised had not materialized.  I consider myself an excellent attorney and advocate for other but Harmon Arroyo helped me develop the articulation of my own needs.  In addition to GCM’s strategic marketing and career development tools, a crucial part of the interview preparation process was learning how to formulate my career aspirations and build the value needed to attract another legal firm.  Over the course of numerous sessions I developed, with Harmon’s career guidance, a clearer idea of myself and what motivated me.  The resulting value propostions translated into billable hours and a more lucrative compensation with S, K, S, & P.

GCM update 9.12.09

Steve had lead a number of Public Relations and Community Relations projects for his current employer but his main responsibility was as a claims agent.  As a client he was very creative and charismatic with a desire to put his degree in Public Communications to use (he more or less into his present position due to family responsbilities).  His previous resume got him across very well, but as a claims adjuster.  He wanted off that track  so came to GCM for assistance and guidance.  GCM helped him pull all his creative experiences together into a coherent resume oriented toward PR, Marketing & Communications Mgmt, plus encouraged him to build a formal creative portfolio. He was rebranded with new marketing materials and intensive interview prep so he wouldn’t present himself like a claims agent and thus work against the new resume. Being creative, he rose to the occasion, got interviews with Boeing (direct mail contact) and PRR (found him online). $69K and all the benefits met his goal requirements and he left the insurance claims world behind.

GCM update 9.2.2009

Ronald recently became a GCM client.  He is impressed with the marketing documents that were written for him, but the preparation for meetings and interviews has proven to be the most valuable aspect of the service thus far.  He is making progress quickly.
