GCM update 6.26.2009

Mark was laid off after two years due to the economy and came to GCM to hot-wire his career search as his own efforts were going nowhere. The resume he’d done for himself had a number of the usual flaws: number of years experience, no context, work history too long, professional development not detailed, poor graphical and space utilization. As a result, the client’s confidence was down and he had begun internalizing a sense of failure. With his new GCM resume, a new strategic direction and framework, and with initial prep work on interviewing, presenting and networking, the client re-ignited his job search. His new resume was picked up almost immediately and after 2 interviews was offered the position as Sales Manager leading a 9-person team.
