Michael used the GCM services to advance to a management level position with a new company with a presence in China.  His new GCM documents resulted in several interviews with various companies.  After many interview prep sessions to hone his presentation and communication skills, the right match finally came through.  His new compensation is higher than he has ever received in his career and $18K higher than his most recent salary.  He gets to travel to China and also work from home, spending more time with his son.

Brad had been trying to position himself for internal growth for some time, but was getting no where.  Through a series of sessions with GCM, he was taught how to emphasize the company’s needs and build common cause: articulating a shared perspective and sense of future prospects.  Within a short time a lateral position became available and using the techniques of the GCM he was successful in presenting a solid value proposition that resonated with the head of the new product development program.  He was offered the position which he accepted and was “very happy with the outcome”.

Doron was looking for something more challenging and was in the market to move east when he joined GCM.  He was contacted by a New York firm and GCM strategized his upcoming interview to build his value and make a convincing case for his experience.  He went through two intensive video preps with GCM teaching him how to smooth his delivery, lead with strengths and neutralize drawbacks.  The final phone interview won an offer that he successfully countered and raised.  He is extremely pleased with the results of the process.

GCM helped Steve pull all his creative experiences together into a coherent resume oriented toward PR, Marketing & Communications management, and encouraged him to build a formal creative portfolio.  GCM worked with him to reach his goal or transitioning out of being a claims agent and provided intensive interview prep so he could present himself properly in his interviews.  The position he accepted gave him the type of salary he expected along with all the benefits that he had set out to obtain and he was able to leave the insurance claims world behind.

Lora had worked as her husband’s office manager for twenty years prior to coming to GCM.  She wanted a change that would get her outside the home and in a position with more of her own individuality.  GCM worked with her to overcome her hesitancy and uncertainty in getting her abilities across to other people having worked for so long in a pre-determined context.  Her GCM resume generated several interviews and much effort was put into interviewing training and confidence building.  After interviewing, she emailed: “They certainly passed around (the GCM) resume and it is largely why I was offered the chance to sell myself.  This is a make-your-own job.” After the second interview, she received an offer and accepted.

Elena’s resume she did for herself lacked real focus and coherence and was not working for her.  The GCM resume put the focus on her international business sales and marketing experience since she really wanted to travel and downplayed the other postions so as not to distract.  This new resume caught immediate attention and produced four interviews. GCM helped prep her for the interviews and she accepted an offer.  When it became clear the position was not all that she had hoped for, GCM reopened her campaign and within 2 weeks she accepted another offer with base plus commission that she was able to negotiate from 10% to 15%.  She is thrilled with the help, advice, and support she received from GCM throughout the entire process.

Joshua had some obstacles to overcome when he began working with GCM.  One, he had been fired from his most recent job due to poor satisfaction with the position and the inability to move upwards in the company.   Two, he was a new father and wanted a position where he could determine the level of his own success.  GCM worked with him to handle sensitive questions (why did you leave your last position?) and he was well prepped when he went to interviews.  He was given the opportunity to lay the groundwork for his own business and is confident that he has the skill and determination to build it successfully.

GCM provided Stephen with personalized attention focusing on his strenghts. He really appreciated the time that was taken to get to know him as an individual and how to properly market himself as a candidate.

William had 4 years to go before mandatory retirement from his company when he joined GCM.  He had several liabilities to overcome such as his age, nearness to retirement, his propensity for talking about imminent retirement, and the very real perception of long time employees in his industry being difficult to retrain to a different corporate style and mindset. GCM showed him how to broaden his credentials around transferable skill sets and established an interview style that would present fresh, energized approaches to uncovering the potential employers’ needs. The new GCM resume generated nationwide interest and resulted in many interviews.  After receiving the right offer, he retired early and started his new career.

Client: “Enjoyed working with GCM and highly recommend it.  I appreciate all the help you gave me.  I received a lot of good comments on the new resume.”
